Job Description Summary
The Head Guest Services Usher position is a non-exempt, part-time staff position which reports to the Front of House Manager and/or Director of Patron Services.
This is a part-time position working up to 19 hours per week. Evening and weekend availability required depending on event schedule.
Reporting to the Front of House Manager and/or Director of Patron Services, the Musco Center HEAD GUEST SERVICES USHER will provide excellent customer service to guests, visiting artists and supporting staff upon their arrival and departure at Musco Center. Duties include parking and directional signage set-up/ tear-down in and around surrounding parking structures and walkways. This position requires driving an electric service vehicle (ESV) to designated parking areas and transporting guests to and from the theater. Responsibilities include supervising and assigning guest service staff to key locations around campus to ensure safe, efficient and appropriate guest routes from parking structures/campus locations for events as scheduled with Musco Center. Head Guest Services staff is in direct communication with Musco staff to gage traffic conditions near the start of performance and to provide courtesy cart service for the event. Also assist in handling unusual situations such as crowd control, accidents, emergencies, etc. This event-based position requires excellent customer service skills such as greeting patrons with a prompt and courteous attitude, flexibility to adjust as situations occur and exhibiting professionalism at all times. Must be able to clear a DMV background check and must maintain a clean driving record
High School Diploma or GED.

Technical skills to learn and use enterprise systems and departmental tools.
Ability to learn and interpret Chapman University and Musco Center policies and procedures.
Two or more years of professional work experience providing customer service / public environment.
