Musco Center and Chapman Department of Dance present:
Micaela Taylor and The TL Collective Drift & '90Sugar
THIS EVENT IS IN THE PAST
Friday, September 24, 2021 | 7:30 p.m.
Trailblazing dancer and choreographer Micaela Taylor will premiere her bold new works “Drift” and “'90Sugar,” fresh off a week-long residency at the Musco Center, in which she allowed College of the Performing Arts students to attend her dance rehearsals. With her captivating facial expressions and riveting, athletic movements, Taylor has become a standout performer both in her hometown of Los Angeles and beyond, earning the Inaugural Springboard EMERGE Choreographic Award and gracing the cover of Dance Magazine's "25 to Watch” in 2019. Always original, Taylor founded her own innovative dance company, TL Collective, and created a new dance movement style called Expand Practice, which encourages individuals to “expand their mind, body, and narrative."
