The Commanders, the US Air Force’s official regional jazz ensemble, performs a free evening concert at Musco Center. Drawn from the Air Force’s Band of the Golden West, the Commanders carry on the tradition of the legendary Big Bands, with traditional and cool jazz, bop, swing, Broadway favorites, and patriotic music.
In addition to performing for civilian communities in five western states the band supports a numerous Air Force bases, Air Force Reserve Wings, and recruiting squadrons with more than 250 annual performances for 1.5 million fans. Come early and enjoy the Scout rally outside on the Aitken Arts Plaza.
Join us at 5:30pm for pre-show activities with Patriots and Paws, the City of Orange Library, Chapman University's Leatherby Libraries, Boy Scouts of America Alumni Association, Girl Scouts of Orange County, and the Orange County Community Foundation's OC Veterans Initiative.
