Celebrate a century of groundbreaking modern dance with Martha Graham Dance Company.

As part of the global GRAHAM100 celebration, the company presents the powerful and iconic solo Lamentation, the timeless and emotionally complex Diversion of Angels, and the poignant exploration of grief and resilience in Cortege 2023.

This program honors Martha Graham’s enduring legacy and influence while showcasing the company’s ongoing impact on the future of modern dance.

Planned Program (Subject to Change, All Times are Approximates): 

Diversion of Angels (Dello Joio) - 19 Minutes
Lamentation (Kodaly) - 6 Minutes
Cortege (techno score) - 25 Minutes
Intermission - 20 Minutes
Steps in the Street (Riegger) - 10 Minutes (featuring Chapman Dancers)
En Masse - 25 Minutes

Run Time: Approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes, including intermission.

Martha Graham Dance Company will feature music played by The Chapman Orchestra. The Chapman Orchestra (TCO) is one of the top university symphony orchestras on the West Coast. Performing six concerts annually, TCO also stands out as one of the few academic orchestras to collaborate with Disney for live on-screen accompanied concerts.
